All in a School Day
Our school day for all children is from 8.45am until 3.15pm (32.5 hours a week).
A typical day:
8:30-8:25am
The gate is opened each morning and a senior leader will be on duty at the front and back gate.
8.45am
Register is taken at 8.45am for all children.
Reception, Years 1, 3 and 6 children enter straight into their classrooms from the playground.
Years 2, 4 and 5 children enter through a dedicated door.
Class teachers stand by the door waiting to welcome the children and a senior leader remains on duty at the front and back gate until they are closed at 8:45-8:50am.
Anyone arriving after should report to the office, remembering to order their lunch for the day (especially important if your child is having a hot school meal).
Break time
10.30 - 10.45am
We encourage all children to have a healthy snack – Early Years and Key Stage 1 will be able to pick from a selection of free fruit.
Lunchtime
Early Years 11.45am - 1pm
Year 1 12 - 1pm
Year 2 12.15 - 1.15pm
Year 3 and 4 12 - 1pm
Years 5 and 6 12.15 - 1.15pm

Total hours for all year groups - 32.5 hours
For children who might need a little additional reassurance in the mornings, we are pleased to offer an 'Under the Weather Form'. This allows parents/carers to directly update their child's class teacher about a tricky morning/their child feeling under the weather, before the school day starts.
This ensures school staff are able to appropriately greet, support and check in with children, with knowledge of their mornings and start to the school day.
