Reception 2026 Useful Information

We are looking forward to your child joining Cradle Hill in September 2026.

We know this will be an exciting experience for all. This page will have plenty of useful information and details for you to help plan and prepare for your child's start at school.

Please take a look at this useful booklet in preparation for your child starting school in September. 

Stay and Play Sessions

Children are invited to come into school on the following dates. This is a great opportunity for them to play, explore our great Reception area and meet the Reception team. Parents are asked to drop their children and collect them an hour later.

These sessions are organised by the child's Nursery; please see below the timings for these sessions. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact the school office. 

 Reception Start Dates

 Autumn born children

Born between 1st September and 31st December 

Spring born children

Born between 1st January and 31st March

Summer born children

Born between 1st April and 31st August

Useful Information

School opening times:

The main/back school gates open at 8.35am for school to start at 8.45am.

The main/back school gates open at 3.05pm for school collection at 3.15pm.
