Spellings
Spelling practice: Spellings will be given out to the children on Fridays. At home they should use the Cradle Hill 8 strategies to support their learning of the words (in pink books). Spelling lessons and games take place at school weekly.
Further practice with spelling at the individual level for your child can be found on Doodle.
Multiplication Tables
Children are expected to be fluent in their multiplication tables by the end of Year 4 and will take the statutory Multiplication Check (MTC) in June 2023.
The best way to prepare your child for this is through regular use of TTRockstars. The Studio game allows them to increase speed of recall. The Sound Check game mimics the MTC.
Reading
- Reading: Reading for pleasure for a minimum of 10 minutes each day, preferably with an adult. Please click on the image below to see our letter about the importance of reading at home and how this will be celebrated in Year Four.
