Summer Signposting for Families
As we approach the summer holidays, we would like to remind families that a range of support services remain available throughout the summer period for anyone who may need advice, guidance or additional support.
Family Hubs
East Sussex Family Hubs provide information, support and activities for families with children and young people. They can offer advice on a wide range of issues including emotional wellbeing, parenting support, SEND, financial concerns, housing, employment and local activities. Families can also drop into their local hub for support and signposting.
Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme
The HAF programme provides free holiday activities and healthy meals during the school holidays for children and young people who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals. Activities may include sports, arts, outdoor
learning and enrichment opportunities. Families can find out more and check eligibility through the East Sussex HAF programme website.
Family Consultation Line
Families can contact the Family Advice Line for information, advice and guidance on issues such as parenting, mental health, neurodiversity, cost of living concerns and family wellbeing. The team can help identify appropriate local services and community support before difficulties escalate.
